Orchid Growers Guild 24th Annual “Orchid Quest” Show and Sale
We are extremely proud to announce our recent achievements and awards at Orchid Quest in Madison Wisconsin on February 6th & 7th, held at the Alliant Energy Center.
Our orchid exhibit was judged and won the American Orchid Society's show trophy for 'Most Outstanding Display' for an unprecedented second year in a row! This award is not given at every orchid show but only when the AOS judging team deems an exhibit worthy of the prestigious award. Our exhibit also won the 'Best in Class' for competing in the 100 square foot display category.
Furthermore, our exhibit yielded numerous awards on individual orchid plants within our exhibit including the esteemed ‘Best Plant in Show’ award. We also won 7 individual 'Best in Class' awards granted to a Cymbidium, Phragmipedium, Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, Phaius and Cattleya.
Other special awards granted to our plants for superiority (sponsored by individuals of the Orchid Growers Guild) went to our Phragmipedium Alfedo Manrique, Phragmipedium Jason Fischer, Doritaenopsis Mount Lip and our Brassolaeliocattleya Theresa Winkleman. This was an outstanding exhibit and we thank everyone attending Orchid Quest 2010!

2009 AOS Awards
We are proud to announce our recent achievements and awards at Orchid Quest in Madison Wisconsin on January 31st-February 1st.
Our orchid display was judged and won the American Orchid Society's show trophy for 'Most Outstanding Display'. This award is not given at every show but only when the AOS judging team deems a display worthy of the prestigious award. It is the first time we have won this award and are proud to share it with our fans. Our display also won 'Best in Class' for competing in the 100 square foot display category.
Along with winning the show trophy and best in class for our display, we also compiled numerous awards on individual orchid plants within our display. We won 4 individual 'Best in Class' awards granted to a Cymbidium, Phragmipedium, Phalaenopsis and Oncidium.
Our greatest achievement at this event was winning the 'Best Orchid Plant in Show' award for our Phragmipedium kovachii. In April 2005 orchid grower and hybridizer Chuck Acker traveled to Peru to import this newly discovered species and is the first grower to show one blooming in the United States. This plant also won Best of Class, Best Cypripedium Alliance, Best Phragmipedium, a First Place ribbon and was also judged for an American Orchid Society award! Stay tuned for future news about our orchid awards posted on this page.
